Gloucester Daffodil Club Meeting: Thursday, February 10, 4 pm

Gloucester has an ideal daffodil-growing climate, and historic varieties and modern cultivars flourish here. Bulbs planted in the fall can be relied upon to bloom in the spring, and well-tended plantings increase over the years. Membership is open to all interested people. Four meetings are planned during the year on the second Thursday of February, May, September and November. For more information about the club contact gloucesterdaffodils@gmail.com.

Brent and Becky's will host the Gloucester Master Gardeners on the second Saturday of the month for an informational look Cannabis: History, Uses and Decoding the new laws in Virginia. Attendees will learn about Cannabis through the ages, uses for this versatile plant, and the new laws that affect our region. There is no charge or registration for this informative session packed with great information!

 

Cooking with CBD: Saturday, February 12th, 1-3 pm

Brought to you by Gloucester's own River Organics, this event is sure to open your mind (and mouth) to the wonderful world of CBD cooking! Brent and Becky's will host the Gloucester Master Gardeners on the second Saturday of the month for an informational look at Seeds and How to Start Them. There is no charge or registration for this informative session packed with great information!

  

Spring Garden Tours: 1-3 pm, Wed, March 16; Sat, March 19; Wed, March 23; Sat, March 26; Wed, March 30; Wed, April 6; Sat, April 9; Wed, April 13; Sat, April 16

Take a leisurely stroll through the trial fields and gardens at the farm and home of Brent and Becky Heath. See where they grow trials, where they grow what they sell, see different planting combinations and locations so they can see what works best and where, plus a little history of the land you will be touring. Walking shoes recommended and will be on gravel, dirt, and grass. Wheelchairs are not recommended or children under the age of 7. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED, $10 per person. Gloucester Daffodil Festival, Daffodil Show & Garden Tours:

Sat & Sun, April 2 & 3

The Gloucester Daffodil Festival and Daffodil Show are held in Gloucester Courthouse a few miles away from Brent and Becky's! This is a great festival for all ages. For more information about the Daffodil Festival and Daffodil Show please visit www.daffodilfestivalva.org. While you are in town make sure to visit Brent and Becky's, open Saturday and Sunday for the festival. 

 

Daffodil Judging School: Monday, April 4

Become a certified Daffodil Judge! The ADS Judges' School 2 facilitated by the Gloucester Daffodil Club will be held at Brent and Becky's, 7900 Daffodil Lane in Gloucester. To become a certified judge for ADS sanctioned shows you must pass three schools within five years. A registration form and class information can be found on the festival website, www.daffodilfestivalva.org or by contacting gloucesterdaffodils@gmail.com. 

 

Garden Exploration Activities at Brent and Becky's

Stop by the Bulb Shoppe at Brent and Becky's to participate in our garden exploration activities. All activities are self-led and geared towards youth ages 5-12. A new topic will be available each month.
