The Bulb Shoppe and Gardens are open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. (Feb 1st through Dec 18, 2021. Closed for holidays on Mon, Feb 15, Mon, May 31; Mon, July 5; Mon, Sept 6; Thur, Nov 25). Visit our Bulb Shoppe and Gardens at

Avoid shipping charges by picking up your previously placed orders....OR pick your own bulbs from our 'Bulb Shoppe Collection', which is a carefully selected collection of bulbs hand-picked from our current catalogue. These bulbs are available in the Spring and Fall.

So many choices! You'll find flower bulbs that are available seasonally, potted and blooming spring or summer flowering bulbs, fresh flowers in the cooler and many garden related gifts, books and garden supplies.
Lots to see and do! When you finish browsing all of the beautiful items indoors, check out the gardens outside!
Make sure you have some time to visit the gardens. The flowers aren't the only beautiful things you will see!

Kokedama Workshop: Saturday, May 1, 1 pm

Japanese for "Moss Ball", Kokedama is a centuries-old concept that uses live moss to hold a plant's roots and soil in a compact, round shape. At this Make & Take DIY Class, "Okie's Kokies - Plants Without Pots" creator Okie Sidehamer from Newport News, will teach you how to make your own Kokedama in just 5 easy steps. All supplies will be provided, including a variety of popular houseplants. $30 per person, reservations required. To register call 804/693-3966. 


Second Saturdays: Saturday, May 8, 10 am

Brent and Becky's will host the Gloucester Master Gardeners on the second Saturday of the month for an informational look at what is going on in the garden. Join the Gloucester Master Gardeners for a look at gardening and how to make your garden the best it can be in the coming year. This month's topic will be The Nightshade Family: Tomato, Pepper, Eggplant and Potato. There is no charge or registration for this informative session packed with great information!


Garden Walk: Saturday, May 8, 11 am

Explore our Chesapeake Bay Friendly Teaching Garden with Brent! Walk through the garden and learn about how we garden as naturally as possible, experience the wildlife that occurs in a natural garden and learn a few tips to make your own garden the best it can be. $5 per person, registration required.


Mother's Day Picnic: Saturday, May 8, 12 noon

Enjoy a relaxing day with your mom (or other supportive women in your life!) in our garden. Pre-order your lunch ($15 per person) when you register, and we will do the rest. Add a garden walk with Brent before lunch or join our Living Flower Arrangement Workshop after lunch! (Separate registration for garden walk and/or Living Flower Arrangement Workshop.) Picnic lunch registration deadline Wednesday, May 5th.


Living Flower Arrangement Container Workshop: Saturday, May 8, 1 pm

Grab a friend and come put together a beautiful patio container you can enjoy all summer! You will love the brightly colored flowers and decorative leaves that will soon emerge to fill in your layered bulb container masterpiece! $25 each or 2 for $40! Gloucester Daffodil Club meeting, Thursday, May 13, 4 pm

NEW! Garden Exploration Activities at Brent and Becky's

Beginning in April, the Bulb Shoppe and Gardens at Brent and Becky's will offer garden exploration packets that can be completed in our gardens and at home. Activities are geared to youth ages 5-12. All activities are self-led, providing participants with flexibility and a Covid-safe experience. Each month will offer a new topic, so drop by monthly for a new exploration packet.
