Kokedama Workshop July 27, 2019

Japanese for "Moss Ball", Kokedama is a centuries-old concept that uses live moss to hold a plant's roots and soil in a compact, round shape. At this Make & Take DIY Class, "Okie's Kokies - Plants Without Pots" creator Okie Sidehamer from Newport News, will teach you how to make your own Kokedama in just 5 easy steps. Gloucester Daffodil Club meeting - open to the public September 12, 2019

A new daffodil club in Gloucester County is charting a golden yellow path into the future. The club was founded to encourage more people to plant daffodils at their homes and businesses throughout our area and to inspire participation in Gloucester 'annual spring daffodil show. Moose Hill Worm Farm will be on hand with the entire step by step process for our production of worm castings and introduction to the many benefits and applications for worm castings in your garden and plantings. Plenty of time for questions and answers afterward, bags of castings will also be available for sale. After the presentation I will change hats and be available to sharpen knives and garden tools while you shop and walk through Brent and Becky's beautiful gardens.
